Hello everyone. I am preparing the "Edge detection and safe robot navigation" module for the 14-15 year old group. The activity asks students to use floor sensors to detect edges, such as the limit of a table, to prevent falls. The programming logic relies on combining conditions with the logical AND operator, where a sensor value dropping to 0 triggers a safety maneuver. A key observation for the students is that moving backwards before turning is crucial so the robot's wheels do not slip off the edge during rotation. Since the preparation requires calibrating the floor sensors, have any of you had issues with false readings depending on the color or texture of the table surface?.
