Calculating angles for complex shapes in "Draw with Code!"

Hello colleagues! I am preparing to teach the "Draw with Code! - Discover Programming through Geometric Shapes" module to my 13-15 year olds. The scenario highlights that while a square needs 90-degree turns, a triangle requires 120-degree turns, and a pentagram requires 144-degree turns. Have any of you found effective ways to help students calculate these external rotation angles before they test their algorithms with the FOSSBot? I love that algorithmic mistakes turn into amusing "artistic failures" like spirals, but I want to ensure they fully grasp the mathematical relationship between a shape's sides and its turning angles
